GASKET (गैस केट)
दो फ्लेंज के बीच में गैस केट डालकर टाइट किया जाता है जिससे पाइप के अन्दर का तरल या गैस लिकेज न हो। फ्लेंज टाइट करने पर गैसकेट दोनो फ्लेजों के बीच अच्छी तरह चिक जाता है तथा लाइन को लिकेजप्रूव बना देता है।

GASKET-
The gas gate is tight between the two flanges so that there is no leakage of liquid or gas inside the pipe. On tightening the flange, the gasket gets snug between the two flanges and makes the line leakproof.
Types of Gas-Kit– (गैस-केट के प्रकार)
(1) Full Face Gasket: – जो गैसकेट फ्लेंज के फूल साइज का होता है अर्थात फ्लेंज का OD तथा gasket का OD दोनों बराबर होता है तथा Flange का ID तथा Gasket का ID भी समान होता है। उसे Full फेस गैस किट कहते हैं
Full Face Gasket: – The gasket which is of full size of the flange means both OD of flange and OD of gasket are equal, and ID of flange and ID of gasket are also same. It is called Full Face Gas Kit
(2) Ring Gasket (रिंग गैसकेट): – यह गैसकेट फ्लेंज के रेज्ड फेस के साइज का होता है। अर्थात फ्लेंज के बोल्ट होल तथा Flange के ID के अन्दर हो यह गैसकेट रहता है ।
Ring Gasket: – This gasket is of the size of the raised face of the flange. That is, this gasket remains inside the bolt hole of the flange and the ID of the flange.
GASKET AS PER METAL- (METAL के अनुसार गैसकेट)
(1) Asbestos Gasket (ऐसबेस्टोस गैसकेट)
(2) Rubber Gasket (रबर गैसकेट)
(3 ) Metalica Gasket (मेटालिक गैसकेट)
(4) Spiral Gasket (स्पायरल गैसकेट)
(5) champion Gasket (चैरपियन गैस किट)

प्रेशर और के अनुसार भी गैसकेट होता है।
जैसे :- 150# (एक सौ पचास पौन्ड प्रेशन वाला) (तीन सौ पौन्ड प्रेशर वाला)

900#
1000#
3000# आदि।
नोट :- (1) दो फ्लेंज के बीच एक ही गैसकेट डाला जाता है।
Note: – (1) Only one gasket is inserted between two flanges.
(2) दो फ्लें के बीच अगर स्पेड या स्पेंसर डाला जाय तो दो गैसकेट लगता है स्पेड या स्पेशर के दोनो तरफ गैसकेट होना चाहिए।
If a spade or spencer is inserted between two flares, then there are two gaskets, there should be a gasket on both sides of the spade or spacer.
(3) एक बार प्रयोग होने के बाद गैस केट का दुबारा प्रयोग नही होता है।
Once used, the gas cat is not used again.
(4) गैसकेट के उपर प्रेशर लिखा रहता है। High प्रेशर यानि 300# जगह 150# का गैसकेट नही लगेगा।
Pressure is written on the gasket. High pressure i.e., 300# will not be replaced by a gasket of 150#.
(5) पुराना गैसकेट चेन्ज करते समय अगर गैसकेट छूटकर फ्लेंज से चिका रहे तो उसे अच्छी तरह निकालने, साफ करने के बाद ही नया गैसकेट डाला जाता है।
If the gasket is left out and stick to the flange while changing the old gasket, then the new gasket is inserted only after thoroughly removing it, cleaning it.
